Solid R.O.C.K. Puppet Ministry

The Solid R.O.C.K. puppet ministry consists of nine dedicated young people from Cobbs Hill Methodist Church in Warwick seeking a unique and fun way to minister the Word of God to others. The acronym R.O.C.K. in Solid R.O.C.K. stands for Reaching Others for Christ’s Kingdom. The ministry is lead by Khamla White under the direction of Elder Tony DeSilva and assistance of Sergio White.

The goal of the Solid R.O.C.K. puppet ministry is to praise and worship the Lord through ministry to others. Puppets provide an opportunity to entertain while also declaring the glory of the Lord. The purpose of the ministry is not for the recognition of those in the ministry but instead to direct attention to the Lord and everything He has done and will do.

The members of the Solid R.O.C.K. puppet ministry are Aysha DeSilva, Zariah DeSilva, Sondai Smith, Damani Smith, Kjeld-Mitzpah Steede, Khianda Pearman, Deja Tucker, Nathan Dill and Renee Dill currently studying abroad. Recently the puppet team began its outreach ministry.  Seeking to take the ministry outside the walls of its home church has been a goal of the ministry for some time to spread the Word of God. The team first ministered in October 2010 at a youth service at Emmanuel Methodist in Southampton and then ministered at Matilda Smith rest home in April 2011. The team was received warmly at both venues and is excited to see how the Lord intends to further use the ministry to further spread His Word.
